Imaginary Plane's founder, Dr. Elizabeth Vokurka is an intellectual property management and innovation consultant with over 8 years experience in the field.
An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and a Member of the Licensing Executives Society of Britain & Ireland, Elizabeth has the breadth of experience and robustness of network to conduct technology audits and establish practical, cost-effective IP and IA management processes and policies.
She specialises in assisting start-ups, emerging venture capital backed companies and investors, particularly in the areas of ICT, medical devices and physics-related technology. She has assisted dozens of companies and organisations across the UK, particularly in Scotland.
She is not an attorney or solicitor. Instead Elizabeth's been in your shoes, amassing a wealth of experience from the inside of start-ups, multinationals, academic departments on the practicalities of making innovation enrich your business.
After completing her High Energy Experimental PhD on research at CERN, Elizabeth Vokurka moved into academic and clinical medical imaging software development. She learned IPM from the ground up, with her processes and strategy hived over from SME to multinational after acquisition.
In addition to being expert in IP Management and innovation consultancy, Elizabeth has experience in market analysis, product development, R&D funding acquisition and angel investment.
Dr. Vokurka is author on over 100 academic peer-reviewed papers, and in her spare time, she is a question setter for the BBC's University Challenge.
